Cameron calls me out of the blue (well the gloomy blue, still wet weather here I don't care what my Weather Pixie is saying) He usually e-mails but this was an actual CALL- wow.
So I said whats the big deal? He won't tell me, I have to come over. Good thing I was already ready to go out. Sometimes when its grey out I like to just veg here in my room. He didn't sound sick or anything, he didn't sound upset so I am assuming its something good. It was- well it was mainly surprising. He and his dad live in this place with a first floor area that he uses for his computer and they were thinking about using it to fix up to rent out to people so there was a lot of work or something going on all the time. I get there and I hear REALLY loud Guitar playing. I expected to see Eitan but its Cameron. He has all the windows open and its freezing- he's playing really wild sounding stuff. I knew he could play some but he seems to have been practising. Then I notice the place isn't exactly attractive but its full of new stuff. I haven't been over in a long time so I wondered of course what all the stuff was.
Cam stops playing and does this raised arm "tada" type thing at all the stuff. To make a long story short he has set up a major workshop- and get this- he is going to make guitars. Not "I am going to try to make a guitar" its "I am going to make guitars"! So I almost laugh but he starts showing me all the stuff, and his dad is helping him in all of this he says- and he's been studying with "someone" who I have never heard of before but he says he spent most all of the winter weekends going over there (so thats whats been going on!) He has been "incognito" for awhile. He says he borrowed the guitar he was playing from Eitan just to "work out".
Its all very heavy duty stuff to me- its like Cameron just found his life calling or something right in front of me. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. He has already begun his first guitar and I think he's going to have Eitan play it- or he says maybe he'll play it himself in his OWN band. Do I sense a competitive spirit here? I feel kind of in shock. I mean he really IS doing this. I still don't know exactly what I want to do- I have all kinds of things I want to do, but no one definate thing. I don't think thats bad though, but its pretty cool what Cameron is doing. Of course I have to call EVERYbody but I tried from Cam's place but he started playing again and it was too loud (I could just barely hear Jade going "What? What?") I had to hang up. I have to go home- I have a lot of calling and email to do!
