Alrighty, so it's time for me to write about a bunch of stuff none of you care about. YAY.
Christmas Eve I got a ride over to my aunt's with her family which was awful- crowded kids yelling and climbing around! I had to sit in the back in between the kids and they were being horrible...they kept messing up my hair and then pinched me so hard I got red marks and the little girls kept stealing my purse to put make-up on. So finally I got them to play 'I spy' but they got all cranky was being all cranky. We got there and ate. My aunt had made mexican food and set the table up all cute. I swear no matter the occassion she always has the table set to match - it's really cute. That aunt is seriously the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful person. Then after we ate some of us watched 'Santa Clause 2' with the kids while we waited for my mom to get there (she had to work!).
She got there about 5:30 and ate, then we started opening presents. The whole living room floor was covered in presents, and not just a single layer but like piled up. I wish I would have gotten a picture but I don't think I took any of the tree until after everything was opened. So we started by sorting everything out into everyones individual piles (we try to be organized people). Then we let the kids open their presents first because they're the most anxious. After they were done they got to go watch the movie I got my nephew (Pirates of the Caribbean) and play with some of their toys so they wouldn't be bored while everyone else was opening their presents.
I got some really nice stuff, like a down comforter from Dana which had been obvious for weeks what it was since she had brought it over since she couldn't come over on x-mas. A giftset of my favorite perfume (Clinique Happy) from Cloe, some other great stuff from Jade and Sasha, and this is kinda funny but one of my favorite gifts that day was a little stuffed target dog. Not because of the gift card attached to it but because I LOVE bull terriers which is what the target dog is. It's just so adorable - it had a little scarf and hat I love it!
We didn't even get done opening presents completely until about 10:30pm which by that time the kids got to bed for santa to come
(yeah more presents to come for them!). Others all left to go to church. So after we were done with presents we ate and visited some more. Finally about 11:30 my mom and I loaded up all of our gifts and my dad picked us up (he had to work too!) (oh and mom got a LOT of really nice stuff) and headed home. We didn't get home until after midnight cause it was raining and the road we have to take to get home was scary! It's like this 2 lane highway with no divider in the middle and crazy people go like 80 even in the rain and they pass. So it's all dark and you have these cars barreling straight at you.
Then Christmas morning my mom woke me up and we opened our stockings and gave the dog theirs and then her and I exchanged gifts. She loved everything I got her which I was so stoked about. It was really nice that I had saved money this year and was able to buy her nice gifts, it means alot to me when I'm able to give others nice things. She got me A BUNCH of really nice things too. She got me quite a bit of clothes , I got a My Little Pony in my stocking <3<3, she also got me this set of fashion dolls I love. Ummmm I got this awesome little neon martini lamp, a little sewing machine, and a lot more. My main present though was my boots , oh how I love those boots. My denim jacket was one of the main gifts too. Too bad Dana was gone and Cloe was in georgia with relatives- she also sent me some really nice smelling body spray.
Later Christmas day we went back over to my aunt's and had a huge dinner and watched movies. Good times. It really stormed that day it like my first wet christmas. It was nice. Except at the gas station on the way home I almost got blown away cause it was super windy and my shoes wet =(.
Later I finally got to sleep in while my mom went to a few places for the after christmas sales, she brought me back this down throw from target that has cute penguins on it I've been wanting, they were on sale for 9.99 I was very pleased. Later that night I went out with some friends, forced them to go to wal-mart with me so I could stock up on super cheap leftover x-mas wrapping paper. I ended up getting some nice candles and ornaments too. Then we went to this pizza place to have some food and I beat Dylan at air hockey!
Later more visiting with my mom, grandma, and one of my aunts. It was nice, really cold there but the view of the snow on the mountains was awesome. Plus they have the best hot cider there and I got myself some candied apples. We drove down to the valley to have lunch though because my Grandma doesn't like eating at little mountain restuarants. We went to Olive Garden which I had only been there once before and all I had was salad and breadsticks but this time I got raviolis and wow they were good. Oh how I love food - especially italian food. We got home about 4 and I took a nap, woke up about 8ish and went to a Cameron's where we had a little bonfire and made s'mores. I drank a bit too much soda and got hiccups and couldn't stop them! I was so embarrased. Slept most of the day after yaa!
